World no tobacco day politics !

Interestingly, majority of the world was celebrating the ‘no tobacco day’ on 31’ May. I am wondering at this! It is well established that the ‘tobacco’ is harming the people in so man ways, various cancers being the main concern apart from many other deadly diseases. Then why don’t the governments around the world try to impose a ‘ban’ on tobacco products ? Why on one side the governments give permits to market the hazard and on the other side to play the ‘no tobacco day’ politics ?

Many governments around the world are surviving on the ‘sales tax’ paid by the tobacco consumers besides the liquor tax too. On the one side the government is encouraging the people by permitting the tobacco products and on the other side it is campaigning to abandon the ‘tobacco products’. Is it not ridiculous?

Just it is like firing a person with a pistol and operating with another hand to remove the bullet…! Am wondering ‘why to pay such step mother love’ onto the innocent people ? It is well known that the consuming ‘tobacco’ turns into powerful addiction. On the other hand the people especially the youth are given exposure to these harmful practices through the cinema, TV and other media. The same government that is responsible for this is propagating not to smoke! What a joke it is..! What cunningness..? Are these governments really interested in the well being of their citizens…?

This is a perfect example of “tip of their tongue is dipped in honey and their heart is filled with poison” saying. If the governments are really interested in the well being of their citizens, can’t the governments ban the ‘tobacco’ products totally? Of course then it comes out through the mafia but, then it is a different thing altogether and it will not be massive as it is today, the governments selling the tobacco products!

On these grounds, it seems ridiculous to celebrate the world tobacco day…!
