Sensible talking could make you wise!

It is widely believed that intelligent people often talk less. But, it is also true that unless you talk a lot there is no chance that you could become wise as talking can't be replaced with reading, seeing, etc.

Over talking is not bad if you talk deliberately, sensibly. Without taking to others how can you get knowledge and turn wise? Talking is not bad, if you talk to know something; if you are inquisitive, if you talk sensibly . In fact if you are serious and attentive, talking a lot is really good to become wise.

There are no fools in the world. Everyone has some or the other kind of knowledge that you don’t have. Even the best ‘idiot’ in the world has something to tell you which you don’t know and more interestingly which you can’t know even from the most brilliant person on the globe. So, talking excessively is not bad, if you are really cautious, sensible.

Each person, each thing has bundles of information but, the only thing is that you are not ready or you are unable to receive that. If you are really interested; if you are curious, if you are sensible you could know a lot from every stranger or beggar you come across.

Nothing in the world; no one in the world is rally useless. The only problem is that, you don’t know how to use people and the so called useless things! We don’t know how to use, this is our problem and not with the things or people around.

So, excessive talking is really not bad if you are sensible; you could talk to anyone and know something thereby enriching yourself. Just talking is not enough but, you should know how to gather information; how to learn from others - just you should be sensible. If you could master the art of learning, you could learn even from the ‘mad persons’ too. They too could give you much information which you can’t find anywhere else in the world, which no library could offer you.

But, the only problem is that, our minds are not open, are not wide enough to receive. We are all narrow minded persons in one or the other way. So, we feel something is good and something else is not good and thereby leaving many things aside. That is we are not sensitive enough, we are sensible, we don’t have enough perception – that’s all, unfortunately!

The point is that, even the worst thing in the world could give you some knowledge which the best things can’t give you. But, unfortunately we often under look the ‘worst’ things and simply bypass them.

In the Hindu epic, Mahabharata, the king ‘Yudistara’ always talks. He is the most talkative person you could find in that epic. He talks to all he could. Consequently, he is the wisest person you could find in that epic. This is because his talking ONLY made him wise there is no other way around. But, he talks not to insult others, not to show his supremacy, not to ridicule others, not to win in arguments – but, he talks ONLY to learn. This is the secret otherwise there is no use in talking. If you are not sensible; if you don’t learn then talking becomes useless and a mere waste of time.

Another point is that, some people may have restrictions or reservations to talk to you or to talk on certain matters. So you should know; what to talk, when to talk, where to talk, how to talk, how much to talk, etc. or you should be just sensible enough. You have to take into account; place, time and situation too while talking to people, if you want to have positive results.

The implication is that if you are open minded you could know a lot from anyone, everyone, anything and even from the so called idiots too. And too much talking is not always bad. But, the only thing is that you should be sensible; you should know - how to collect the gems from the mud!
